Relief from Anxiety, Fear, and Chronic Stress Through Expert Hypnotherapy
For thoughtful professionals ready to regain control and move forward.
Why Hypnosis?
Outcome Oriented
The very first thing we do in a session is find out how you want to be when you are free of whatever challenge you are facing. Unlike typical counseling or psychotherapy, the goal is not to continue for months or years, but to move you to your desired outcome in just a few sessions. Hypnosis makes this possible by allowing you to make changes on a sub-conscious level.
Gentle Guidance
There is no need to face down your fears or engage in a battle of will-power. We simply change how your unconscious mind interprets danger. We change its automatic responses so that it is more in line with what works for you.
Not a lot of going over the past
No long talking and rehashing old events. Traditional therapy can spend years going over every painful moment in the past in a slow trajectory towards healing. With hypnosis we can quickly re-assess how you unconsciously interpret your past, if that is even necessary, and move you into the future you want.
The same reason you have fear or anxiety in the first place
You weren’t born this way. At some point, maybe even in your childhood, something happened. You imagined something and there was a response. That response became automatic, and you have been dealing with it ever since. But now, knowing it was just imagination, you can stop imagining it anytime and imagine something else. Hypnosis helps you do that.
Why This Can Work When Nothing Else Has
- You didn’t decide to have a phobia, anxiety or pain. Those things are caused by unconscious programs, running automatically.
- Unconscious programs formed during moments of real or perceived danger and high emotion. You can uncover those programs to make them helpful.
- Will-power is not needed. Only a desire to change the way you are feeling.
- Conscious Decision-Making
Make conscious decisions at every step, maintaining full awareness and choice. No zoning out or losing control. - Change can occur more quickly than most people imagine.
Because you go to the source of the problem, the unconscious mismatch of expectations vs. reality, change can occur quickly.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I lose control of my mind?
You are in control the whole time. It only works if we work together. You are always aware and can ask questions or open your eyes any time. You actually gain control of yourself, maybe for the first time in a long while.
What if it digs up something I'm not ready to face?
We’re not digging things up unless you want to. It is not necessary to dig up trauma to get over a phobia. But if a trauma is bothering you, we can gently take away its power if that is what you want to do.
What if I can't be hypnotised?
If you have a phobia, you have already been hypnotized for a long time. What we would be doing is un-hypnotising you. You don’t go deep into trance or anything like that. I simply ask you to imagine certain things. It is up to you to do it or not. I’m not asking you to forget your name or bark like a dog.
What if I get stuck in a trance?
Contrary to hilarious movies like Office Space, it is impossible to get stuck in a trance. In the rare cases where people have stayed in a trance longer than usualy, they always say afterwards that they were feeling so good they just didn’t want it stop.
What if it changes me into someone I don't recognise?
Losing a phobia is like losing an aching baby tooth. You don’t change because you lose a tooth. You are still you, just without that one annoying pain. You are much more than your phobia, I can assure you!
What if the fear comes back?
Once you lose an illogical fear, it is hard to get it back. You might remember what you had to imagine to have that fear, but that would be a conscious choice.
